Drug Accusations

Multiple people accused Client of drug involvement in exchange for leniency in their own cases. Client was illegally searched by CID and was dragged into a year-long investigation. The Marine Corps brought him to an ADSEP board 7 days before his EAS. Steph brilliantly defended him, showing all the flaws in the Government’s evidence. Steph helped her Air Force Major Client navigate a command investigation initiated due to complaints from civilian employees. Together, they drafted his responses to the Investigating Officer’s questions and Steph accompanied him to the interview. The commander initiated an LOC, but after reviewing the response with a significant amount of evidence the Investigating Officer had failed to gather, it was withdrawn.

A Navy Petty Officer Third Class was facing ADSEP for Condition Not Amounting to a Disability (CND). Client had faced significant hurdles, but was improving. The command still sought to discharge him just two months shy of his EAOS with an adverse discharge. Steph’s aggressive and persuasively drafted legal memo resulted in the CO withdrawing the ADSEP and allowing the Client to finish out his enlistment.

Client was found guilty of wrongfully using THC-9 at NJP before contacting Steph for an appeal. Steph put together a compelling appeal. While the NJP was upheld, the appeal was so effective that the command slow-rolled mandatory administrative separation processing to allow the Client to medically retire due to his PTSD.

Five people accused our Navy Chief Client of sexual harassment, bullying, and hazing. The Client’s nearly 14-year career was on the line. Steph pointed out all the flaws in the Government’s evidence and the bias in the investigation. The board found NO BASIS for violations of OPNAVINST 5354.1H and retained the Client.

Navy Client Accused

Abby’s Navy Client with 19 years of service was accused of communicating a threat, abusive sexual contact, burglary, and having a civilian conviction for vandalism. Abby developed a solid strategy, admitting a civilian conviction is a basis, but arguing that there was no evidence to support the other allegations. The Board agreed, finding NO BASIS on the major allegations and unanimously recommending retention in spite of the civilian conviction. Client’s retirement saved!

Client tested positive for THC and asserted innocent ingestion. The command wanted to separate with notification procedures, but Abby’s advocacy caused the Admiral to grant her an ADSEP Board. The board quickly found NO BASIS. Without Abby fighting for a board, she likely would have been discharged the year prior rather than being exonerated and continuing her career.
